The Treefrog Class: Age 3 years
Our three year old Treefrog Class is the precursor to the Pre-Kindergarten year. Miss Terri and our new Miss Chelsea Mee are the perfect teaching team for the 18 children in our class. Expectations increase significantly in the Treefrog Class and Miss Terri and Miss Chelsea Mee balance pushing the children to their potential and cuddling them when they just need a hug.
Chelsea Mee brings to the Treefrog team so many wonderful traits!! With her years of experience in early childhood education, she not only brings her experience and knowledge to Alphabet Farms, She also brings pure fun, great ideas and loads energy. Chelsea adores children! AND children adore her!!
In each of our classrooms, social and emotional development are our number one focus. Typically, three year olds are testing and pushing the limits because that’s their job. The staff at Alphabet Farms has been trained in Redirecting Childrens’ Behavior, a course we believe is a respectful way to discipline/teach children in many social situations.
In our Treefrog room, as in each of our classes, structure and routine are critical. Developmentally, age three is the time to begin really working on fine motor skill, hand-eye coordination, cooperative play, literacy, math and science.
“The curriculum is terrific; my daughter has really learned, not just played all day. “Richard Weisberg
